Sterile Processing Technology (SUR) - Short Term Certificate (STC): Home

WELCOME STERILE PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS

       Welcome Sterile Processing Technology/Technician Students!

Sterile Processing Technicians play a crucial role in the safety of the surgical patient. Technicians are trained in the proper processing of operating room (OR), emergency room (ER), and labor and delivery instruments and devices as an essential component of their role. Sterile processing technicians keep patients safe by following safety standards and understanding sterilization methods for different classes of surgical instruments.

This short term certificate program is based on the BSCC Sumiton Campus and individuals who complete the program may potentially sit for the National Certification after meeting the required preceptorship (SUR 152 - Central Sterile Lab).
