If you believe your work is being infringed on Bevill State's web site, pleased notify our copyright agent, Tyrone Webb.

  • Information sufficient to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, fax number, and electronic mail address
  • Other information relating to your claim

Circulation

A library card, which is the student identification card, is required before books can be checked out. Books may be checked out for two weeks.  Books may be renewed by phone or in person. If a book is needed by another patron, a “hold” can be placed on the book.  When the book is returned, the patron will be notified by mail or telephone. Reference books and audiovisual material are to be used only in the LRC.

Ask a Librarian

  • In Person: Ideal for all questions, great for in-depth assistance.
  • By Phone: Immediate assistance and renewals. Available during operating hours only.
  • By Email: Limited to BSCC students, faculty and staff. Contact the Librarian.

Overdue Books

Fines of $.25 a day, excluding weekends and college holidays, are charged for overdue books.  Overdue notices are sent by mail or e-mail every two weeks.

Lost Books

If books are lost or damaged, recovery cost must be paid before additional books can be borrowed. All accounts with the LRC must be cleared at the end of the semester.  Students will not be allowed to register for a new semester until all books are returned and all fines are paid.

Books on Reserve

Books and other materials for special assignments or required reading are placed “On Reserve” by the faculty so that they can be used by the greatest number of students during a limited period of time. Reserve materials must be requested at the circulation desk.

Printer and Copier

A self-service copier is available for copying.  The cost is $.10 per page. Back files of periodicals are located in storage areas and also on microfilm.  A microfilm reader/printer is provided and can be used to make copies of articles at a cost $.10 per page.
