Welcome Welding Technology Students!
Welding is a fabrication process that joins materials. The process occurs by melting work pieces and adding a filler to form a pool of molten material that cools to become a strong joint. Bevill State’s welding curriculum provides students with the opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary for a career in this rapidly growing field. Emphasis on the technical aspects of welding are included in the course and specialized classes include blueprint reading, fabrication, welding inspection and testing, and cutting. Students may become AWS certified welders upon program completion. (Occupational Outlook Handbook)
